| Marriage is love. | |||||

Bullets:
- We had a really nice weekend with Mom and Uncle. I cooked my butt off successfully, and everybody had full bellies. Food = love!
- And their flights were on time both ways!!!
- Bubba had his first two flag football games Saturday. He's not very engaged in it yet. It's hard for him to remain interested between plays. If only he were as gung-ho as Hubby is about it. I guess he'll come around eventually.
- The Princess seems to be getting more sleep lately. I guess O'Baby is finally getting into some kind of rudimentary routine. Hey - it's a great first step!
- Speaking of O'Baby: he loves his Great-Grandma! She had him smiling and cooing like crazy. And he liked Uncle Uncle too, because he gave him brownies (not really!).
- A wedding I was just going to RSVP today was called off! It's very exciting, although we feel so bad for the groom, whose heart is shattered. We knew there was something screwy with that girl. (How do you go about taking care of the details of calling off a wedding?)
- I worked yesterday, and my leg was much more numb afterward than it's been in a while. Although I stopped going to PT and the chiropractor, I've still been taking my advi1 and doing my stretches. As soon as I feel ready, I'm going to start walking again. Maybe I'll try out Hubby's new treadmill!
- Bro is loving his new job at the car wash. He loves having pocket money. He's thrilled to be able to buy his own lunch and gas. And he even got to wash his car inside and out for free! The only downside to this job is its inconsistency. When it rains, he gets called off, and they tell him to call again periodically throughout the day to see if he can come in. Frustrating.
- Blondie babysat her niece and nephew Saturday. She polished Livie's and the dog's toenails, and I think Jack felt left out, so he was kicking a lot. Funny how Blondie went home afterward and slept the rest of the day!
- I'm scouting out new responsibilities to take on at work. I should be officially part-time when the next schedule comes out October 25th. This means I will be working two weekdays a week, 7a to 7p. I think the family is ready for this. I know I am. I will immediately begin working my way up the clinical ladder. I will be hired as an RNII, and apply right away for my RNIII. I'm kind of excited about it. And I'm glad I won't have to spend my nights and weekends away from Bubba, especially now that he's at school all day.
- Well, I worked twelve hours yesterday, cleaned the house and did laundry this morning. I think I'll rest and read until I have to get Bubba and make dinner.
Have a great day!
Posted Susan at September 8, 2008 01:40 PMI had a long talk with O'Baby while I was there, and I believe he will be sleeping longer now. Now his Momma can get more rest. I'm so glad the new schedule at work will be two weekdays. Now the weekends will be family time. Yay!
Posted by: Mom/Grandma at September 8, 2008 02:06 PMAre you singing "My Humps" to O'Baby?
Posted by: Your Sister at September 8, 2008 08:50 PMYes. I used to sing it to him when I made him do tummy time, and now he cries whenever he hears it. I'm the Torturer of the Baby.
