I was just about to take out my Cubbies banners and make a sign and everything, when...well, you know what's going on. They've lost four in a row, and I'm worried about our hopes for a playoff berth, much less a world series.
I'll give them until this weekend, I think. Maybe it'll help if I put the stuff up. Ya think?
---------------------
I am in much less pain although I do still find it hard to sit.
---------------------
Bubba has his first flag football games this weekend. They are both on Saturday - one at 8am, one at 9am.
Bad thing about football: the coaches don't want any more help from the dads. Hubby will be devastated.
Next year, we're going to make sure he gets his own team to coach.
---------------------
O'Baby is sleeping a bit better. And he's napping during the day more. Hopefully, he's getting into a routine.
He seems to like taking walks in the stroller. Of course, now it's too cold and rainy to do that. Figures.
And he was talking to me today. He wouldn't stop, and he actually laughed with me! What a joy he is!
--------------------
Bro starts his job at the car wash officially today. Too bad it's cold and rainy. No tips today, but at least he'll have time to learn all the machinery and stuff.
I gave him lunch money.
--------------------
Blondie left Linus' dog food here. That means she'll have to come and visit again soon!
--------------------
Hubby got a new sexy treadmill, since the duct tape repair he did on the old one didn't work. The new one has speakers and a port for his ip0d, a fan, things to work your arms, and many different workout programs. He loves it!
I will be trying it soon. I mean it. Really.
--------------------
The Princess seems to have a better grip on things after last weekend's horribleness. I know we all went through it, but it sure is hard to watch. We all do what we can to support her.
Yesterday, Bro watched O'Baby while The Princess took a shower. He kept trying to hand the baby off to me or Banana (his girlfriend), but we weren't taking him. It was cute to see him handle things, even for a short time.
---------------------
My mom and brother are coming out Friday and staying until Sunday. We can't wait! We're having fun planning menus and stuff. Bubba's looking forward to a bike ride with his dirt-bike-buddy Uncle!
They are going to pass out when they see the beautiful O'Baby! I hope they've been working out, because that kid is heavy.
Have a great day!
Posted Susan at September 3, 2008 11:05 AMYour brother and I are SO looking forward to our visit. Would love to take you all out to lunch on Saturday. Even O'Baby. Hope he is well rested so he will smile a lot.
