In which she presents physical evidence of accelerated aging

Remember that wonderful day Sunday? When Bubba sold golf balls from the bushes of our yard? Then someone stole all the balls? Then Bubba and I got covered from head to toe with chigger bites?

Oh yeah, I didn't tell you about that.

Well, it gets better. Although Bubba and I have pretty much recovered from the intense itching and swelling and discomfort and redness and itching, I find I have a more lasting physical memento of the day.

    I strained my ass.

Specifically, I strained my left periformas muscle. Yes, my ass. Deep under the gluteus maximus and medius. Tough to ice, not very responsive to ibuprofen. It happens when you go up steep inclines. Like in my yard.

It hurts to sit. It really hurts to get in and out of a car. And I actually cried when I got out of bed this morning.

So I went to the doctor. Ice, stretching, muscle relaxants and anti-inflammatories. And if that doesn't work, physical therapy.

Oh - and avoid climbing hills.

    It's hell getting old.

I'm sorry about your sore butt. Maybe Hubby should rub it. Heh.
