Various bits and pieces, since I haven't posted in a while:
- Punka's out visiting. We've kept each other busy. Yesterday, after Punka and Bubba got lost walking in suburbia, we traveled to a not-so-local garden for their annual butterfly festival. A Blue Morpho and a Crimson Patch landed on Bubba and wouldn't get off. We thought we'd have to leave him there. We also got to pet caterpillars and Bubba ran through the fountain. Good times.
- I am so disillusioned by J0hn Edwards. I thought he was the last good man. Now we'll see if I'll ever be able to place my faith in another. Are all men in power weak?
- The Olympics have started. Yesterday, for the first time, Bubba heard the Olympic fanfare played on the TV. He thought and thought, then said, "Hey! That sounds just like my "Olympic Fanfare" piano piece!" It was way cool to hear it played by an orchestra, and for him to know that he could play it just as well.
- The Puppy Games on Anima1 P1anet have also begun! They are so cute! The show is essentially a bunch of puppies of different breeds running around and playing with toys and each other. They have a swimming event, gymnastics and soccer. And the show lasts THREE HOURS! We can't get enough of it.
- I work tonight and the next two nights, and Punka is leaving for home in the very early morning Sunday. Our week is fairly open, which is good because Bubba starts school the 18th. We have a lot of fun things to do with our last week of summer.
Posted Susan at August 9, 2008 01:11 PMI, too, am so surprised at John Edwards. It just proves to me that all politicians are shit and you really can't trust them at all, especially if you're married to one.
Forchrissakes, his wife has cancer. WTF was wrong with him? And she forgives him? Absolutely mortifying.
