    Quick picks

CousinSissyK went back to Vermont (where there are more cows than people) this morning. It was so nice to have her here. We hope she comes back again soon.

Blondie rented a car today so she and Linus can drive back home to Chicago tomorrow.

Bubba played in the creek with JakeS today, and is finally happy. He is so unsettled by company, he becomes a raging brat. But he's done now. Thank god.

The Princess and Blondie have hashed things out and are getting along well. They are out right now getting pedicures. I'm watching O'Baby. Heeheehee! Isn't it cool I get to do that?

Yesterday, we had PuffDaddy's family over for his mom's birthday dinner and lotsa desserts. It was fun and she was happy.

We also went to Buca's on the Plaza for lunch yesterday. It was O'Baby's first restaurant visit, and he was good. We took turns eating and holding the baby. I think it did The Princess good to get out with everybody. And to wear her regular jeans (could you die?!).

Since Linus is visiting, we have FOUR DOGS in the house. And it sounds like twelve.

I called in sick for work today. Actually, the whole family took a vote and decided that I would call in sick today. I'm glad. I am tired. I am so overwhelmed lately, that I threatened Hubby with hiring a housekeeper if I don't get some help around here.

Those branches and stuff that I lopped and pruned off the trees, then bundled into manageable bundles, and put to the side of the driveway? Well, they're still there. Although I asked, nobody took them to the curb for garbage pickup. Yeah. I'm not happy about that.

There is so much food in the house, that we will be having leftovers for three weeks. But funny - the desserts are almost gone already! Come on over!

I can't believe no one moved the branch bundles to the side of the driveway. With all the adults in the house! Good thing you called in sick. you definitely are tired.
