    Our new routine

Seems like we've settled into a kind-of routine around here now.

In the morning, The Princess and O'Baby don't come upstairs from their room until about 10 or 11am. This gives Bubba and me some time to do yardwork or have some fun outside before the afternoon heat comes.

Then we watch O'Baby while The Princess showers or pees or whatever. Every day, we make O'Baby work out. We put him on his belly on the big ottoman and watch him lift his head, scoot around, and roll over onto his back. Usually, when he gets mad, he gets a better workout.

    Today, he just fell asleep.

We keep the baby up for as long as we can, then The Princess nurses him, changes him, and they both take a nap in my big bed. If O'Baby gets fussy, Bubba plays the piano to soothe him. They both really like that.

Bubba and I go out on errands or bike rides, or go to the pool or a playdate. Then we make dinner and play with the baby some more. He likes to sit outside and watch the light play on the leaves that blow in the breeze.

If I have to go to work, I will opt for holding O'Baby a few more minutes over showering. So sometimes I am a not-so-fresh nurse. But I don't care.

We are so lucky to have this little baby that just radiates love in our house. We are so lucky to see him every day. Each day, he changes and grows and fascinates us all.

Bubba seems to be over his baby jealousy. All we can do is just reinforce his position in our family, and reaffirm our love for him. And keep him very busy. All the time.

    Life is good right now.

Sounds like everyone is settling in well. So, when can we expect another picture? ;)
