    Letting the dust settle

Now that O'Baby and The Princess are home, and Puff Daddy is back to work, the Orphie household is trying to settle down again.

We get lots of visitors, sometimes every day. The other day I made TWO crockpots full of corned beef for dinner. There were three little slices left, after I fed nine of us.

I buy cakes and cookies, since I have no time to make them myself and my head baker (The Princess) is otherwise occupied. I try to keep the house straightened out in case company comes, but it always seems messy anyway.

Our Bubba has been possessed by the green-eyed monster. He is so jealous of O'Baby and his cuteness and all the attention he gets. He feels left out. We make sure to keep his activity level up, and get him involved in any way we can. When my dad was out this week, he took Bubba fishing and on walks to keep him busy.

The Princess and Puff Daddy have taken to parenting very well. They are both relaxed and confident. They don't often ask for help. They have settled into a nice groove.

It's busy around here. I find it hard to keep up. I've been working a lot, mostly at night, so I'm not getting enough sleep. This makes everything a little harder.

But there is more love in this house. We all walk around with big smiles all the time now. Even Bubba loves his nephew.

We'll adjust. We're used to change, right?

Now that your father has left, it's time for me to descend upon your household. See you on Saturday. Can hardly wait to see everyone in your growing household. Does O'Baby needs his own dog, too?
