| Marriage is love. | |||||

Last night was O'Baby's first night at home. He fed every hour or two all night. He's putting in many hours of hard work trying to build The Princess' milk supply. I'm sure by tomorrow it'll pay off in spades. Then hopefully she'll be able to rest a little bit.
Right now, O'Baby's sleeping on my big bed, smooshed lovingly in the middle of a down pillow. He feels hugged and held, I'm sure.
And where is The Princess? Right next to him on the bed. She should be sleeping, as we all know, but she's not. She's looking at him. She's taking pictures of him with her phone so she can send them to Blondie. I'm hoping she'll fall asleep, so she can conserve her energy for what certainly will be a busy day and night ahead.
Puff Daddy is out finding things to spend money on at BabieSRU$, since they got a nice gift certificate there. Hubby and Bro are at work, Bubba is at VBS (last day), and I'm just hanging around in the kitchen until I'm needed.
Where are the dogs? Well, Daisy is asleep in the front room, but Penny and Ruthie are in the bedroom with O'Baby and The Princess. Ruthie is right under the bed, and Penny is right next to it, both of them vigilantly guarding the baby and his mom. Or at least trying to figure out what's going on.
And where is Blondie? She's in the hospital in Chicago. That damned abdominal pain she was feeling last week never went away, and after doing multiple tests the doctors still can't figure out what's going on. She's uncomfortable and frustrated and wants to go home, but wants the pain gone. And she has tickets to the Crosstown Classic tomorrow - in the bleachers! - so she certainly doesn't want to miss the game. The next doctor won't be in to see her until late in the day, so I'm not sure she'll be able to go. If that's the case, everybody watch out.
Okay - now The Princess is sleeping. Her body is kinda encircling the baby. She can't be comfortable. But that's love, isn't it?
Posted Susan at June 20, 2008 10:55 AMThe Princess is doing a great job, but hopefully she will take time to sleep when the baby sleeps. The first weeks are sleepless. Sounds like she likes to watch O'Baby sleep!
Posted by: Mom/Grandma/GreatGrandma at June 20, 2008 04:50 PMYou should've taken a picture of her curled up around O'Baby. That right there is the picture definition of love.
