    Joy boy

Lately Bubba's been such a joy. Not that he isn't always - just moreso lately.

He bought a scooter last Sunday. He earned money doing chores and when he got tired of that, dipped into his savings to pay for the rest. Now he's a scooting fiend, and happy as a clam. And speedy fast. He even beat our neighbor Mr. Leeper in a race.
    -------------
The other day, seeing that a girl in his class was sad because she had no money to buy a toy at a fundraising sale at school, he bought her one. Made her little day.
    --------------
Yesterday, a friend taught him how to blow bubbles with his hands. He was doing it all afternoon until dinner. His hands have never been cleaner.
    -------------
Last night, he participated in the Kindergarten Musical. His teacher said she was proud that he 'used his self-discipline' when the classmate standing next to him did not. Bubba smiled and sang and gestured and was big next to his friends. And he only chewed on his new shirt a few times.
    ------------
The other day, Bubba asked me how the baby gets out of the woman's body (because The Princess is almost ready to pop). Here's how it went:

Me: You know how boys have a pen1s and girls don't?
    Bubba: Yeah.
Me: Well, girls have a hole instead. It's called vag1na and it opens up big so the mom can push out the baby. Then it gets small again.
Bubba: Do you have one of those?
    Me: Yes, I do.
Bubba: Can I see that on you?
Me: No. That's a private part.
Bubba: Okay. *runs off to play*
    ------------
Next week is his last full week of school before summer break. It will be wonderful to have him around all the time.

But I think I better enjoy the quiet time I have right now. Something tells me it'll be a lot of work keeping him busy all summer.

I like your explanation. Simple but honest.

I loved the blog about the Bubba. He's a good boy. And brightens your life every day. All the days.
