Now I'm really gonna have to start working out

Yesterday, Hubby and I took Bubba to his baseball practice. (Yes, I was assistant coach. And yes, I did it on my own terms.) The practice was at a school, and there was a track next to the diamond.

A track with hurdles. High hurdles.

Guess whose ears perked up when he saw the hurdles?

Hubby ran the hurdles fifteen times. He had no scraped knees, no spills. I heard him telling the other baseball parents that it had been THIRTY years since he did hurdles.

He's still high from it. He said he felt the rush he used to get, like he could run forever. He will be doing this again.

He's sore today, but not overly so. Just totally pumped.

Next time, I hope to be able to watch him. I was so busy coaching, I only caught him stretching and walking. He says I just didn't see him because he was too fast.

    I believe him.

That is so cool! I would totally take a nose dive if I even attempted a hurtle!
