Nothing says "I love you" like...

    ...red meat!

It's true! At the store this morning, I thought to myself, "What would make a nice Valentine's Day dinner?"

And the obvious answer was steaks. Red meat. The cashier even confirmed it for me. She said she's made steaks for her mom for the past three Valentine's Days. Go figure.

Is it like that for you too?

Today was Bubba Day Out. I was supposed to go downtown for some training for work, but I blew it off. I had finished the online tutorial, so I don't feel bad.

But I've come to really value my time alone on Mondays. I guard MY day out fiercely now. Monday is my day for sushi and salad and long walks alone. I think it keeps me sane and I really looked forward to it all during my long weekend at work.

    GREAT NEWS!

Jack may be coming home today. He hasn't used the feeding tube since Saturday, only taking the bottle now. He's gaining weight and getting stronger by the hour. I told Amy that if he's coming home tonight, she'd better take a nap today.

Bet she'll be too excited to sleep! Hooray for Jack the Baby!

    -------------------------------

    Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Yay! Sounds like a terrific day - and I'd love me some red meat! Happy Valentine's Day!

Great News! I never thought of red meat for V-day. We usually go to an Italian place for V-day...great idea though.

    Yeah for Jack coming home.
Yeah for sushi and long walks alone.
    Yeah for you.

P.S. Did you like Oryx and Crake?
